Front Steps
The front steps are going to be steep but at least they're "historical." Don't worry! We're going to add a chair lift for those who have trouble with steps.

Retaining Wall Excavation
On Monday, August 29, Corr Construction began removing the retaining wall behind the house and will rebuild the wall from the top down with the terraces as before.

Siding removal
Deadwood Historic Preservation Commission has a program for siding removal. It's exciting to discover what's underneath all those layers!

Major setback
Sometime on Sunday, May 22, the retaining wall behind the new addition gave way from all the rain we have had and caused major damage. We are thankful we hadn't put in the windows and kitchen cabinets yet and that we hadn't moved in or we would have been crushed!
